Heavy Equipment Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION

Snelling of NoCo is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a valued Windsor client.

Schedule: Consistent hours–must be flexible to work possible weekends

Salary:  $75,000 to $115,000/year 

Benefits:  Medical/dental package, 401K, profit sharing, paid vacation, paid holidays, year end bonus and uniforms provided

Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsibilities include:

  • Repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment including diesel trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, directional drills, drilling support equipment etc. Must be familiar with Bobcat, CAT and John Deere equipment. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues, be able to examine, repair and/or capability of component rebuilds
  • Reconditions and replaces parts, such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings, using engine lathes, boring machines, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Perform preventive maintenance PM as required
  • Minor welding and fabrication as needed

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy equipment diesel repairs
  • Professional in both attitude and appearance
  • Motivated and willingness to tackle tasks requiring the gaining of new knowledge and experience in a particular product or component
  • Must have own tools
  • Heavy Equipment Mechanic certification or AAS degree preferred
  • Experience working with hydraulics
  • CDL required
  • Ability to pass drug test, random drug tests and background check
  • Flexibility in work schedule to include some weekends
