JOB DESCRIPTION
IT Technnician
Responsibilities: Responsibilities shall include all aspects of scrubbing data and information on equipment located at customer’s site contained in a data center, including, but not limited to, wiping, auditing, reporting, drive destruction, and facilitating the removal of scrubbed equipment upon completion of work. Travel to other data centers and facilities in the Western region of US may be required from time to time. Technician will be responsible for addressing Customer Requests within the service level agreement time frame. The technician will also assist other members of the company’s customer service team ensuring timely responses and resolutions to customer requests. Perform data sanitization services which are tracked through the company’s ticketing system. This includes, but is not limited to the following services (training will be provided):
· Equipment Rack and Stack
· Cable removal
· Server trouble shooting
· Server hardware / software (RAID settings, BIOS settings, software interface)
· Switch configuration and network troubleshooting
· Reset of networking switcher/routers back to default/factory settings
· Assist with the diagnosis of hardware issues
· Power cycling of customer equipment
· Perform cabinet/cage audits – training will be provided
· Blade/Card, Memory, Hard Drive, and Transceiver installations or removal
· Shipping and Receiving of packages and equipment
· Use of power and hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, drills, etc.)
· Provide timely customer and internal updates using a computer-based ticketing system and Microsoft Dynamics inventory system – training will be provided
· Perform and document inventory verification/counts.
· Adherence to the company and Data Center Operating Procedures
· Assist to maintain overall Data Center cleanliness and appearance

• Understanding of servers, storage arrays and networking equipment
• Ability to communicate by writing and verbally
• Communication skills with colleagues regarding technical issues

• Self-motivated
Desired (but Not Required) Job Skills/Knowledge
• CompTIA A+ / Net + Certification
• General knowledge of AC/DC electricals, circuits, PDUs
• Effective organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Explorer) and or/equivalents
• Some experience with Microsoft Dynamics
Meets Physical Demands of The Position Including
• Lift and handle up to 50 pounds
• Bend, stoop, and stretch as required for placement and retrieval of assets, materials, or equipment
• Work in a data center environment
Job Type: 40 hours per week, 1-2 months
Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 /hour
