Depot Operations Manager


This is a high-profile position that requires the ability to foster genuine, productive working relationships with employees of diverse backgrounds in the IT and warehouse fulfillment industry. The role is to provide internal guidance and to be fully engaged in overall general management of day-to-day operations at the Louisville, KY facility. This position will inspire, motivate, establish, and provide direction for all depot staff. The Depot Ops Manager is strategically located close to all personnel and exposed to every facet of the business that it conducts. This is a widely diverse role as we are a widely diverse company. A person that has had the experience and opportunity to wear “many hats” throughout their working career is expected to thrive in this fast paced, continuously changing environment. This is not a job for those who like routine! We seek a very adaptive personality because our depots’ needs will continually shift as new projects begin and evolve.

PAY; 65K-80K

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to balance proper staffing levels based on project requirements.
  • Understands how to deploy resources appropriately and efficiently.
  • Identifying tools and methodologies to aid in process improvement.
  • Possesses a unique ability to mentor and foster good cohesive relationships with team members.
  • Commands authority to lead, implement instantaneous change at a moment's notice.
  • Must be able to set project priorities and stay on task.
  • Updates job knowledge resources and is familiar with various documentation techniques; writing clear, concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) is a must.
  • At times, assuming a role as the liaison between operations and end-user or customer.

Characteristics / Competencies / Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in business, warehousing, or manufacturing environment.
  • Willing to learn and grow within a dynamic working environment.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Conscientious – Willing to do what’s right in any situation.
  • Effective communicator via phone or digital means.
  • Accepts responsibility and can set the “tone” daily.
  • Possess a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Diplomatic leadership and management style a must.
  • Charismatic and willing to positively influence people’s lives.
  • Lean Management / Applied Six Sigma competencies a plus.
  • College Degree or some college preferred.
