Marketing Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sales & Marketing Assistant –  This Position is responsible for member and customer services as well as sales and marketing activities.  This position is responsible for insuring the smooth flow of information and follow-up for Club members, prospective members, rental customers and prospective rental customers.    

Duties, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be fluent in the use and application of Microsoft Office Suite as well as Outlook and Gmail email.
  • Learn and use the Nautical Toys software to make member reservations.
  • Learn and use Xola rental software to make rental reservations, confirm reservations, collect payment, run security holds, generate paperwork, and reconcile additional charges and payments.
  • Answer the phone, capture contact information, and provide appropriate information while using approved sales techniques to encourage customers to a variety of product options.
  • Greet walk-up prospective customers / members, capture contact information, and provide appropriate information while using approved sales techniques to encourage customers to a variety of product options.
  • Assist Sales Manager to send out appropriate marketing materials, schedule and confirm club tours, and update sales database.
  • Assist Book keeper with weekly and monthly reconciliation.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively resolve concerns and disputes from members and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow up skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations
  • Knowledge of basic financial concepts and applications

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Monitor the flow of emails and respond appropriately or convey messages to the appropriate manager.
  • Maintain office areas including but not limited to private offices, lobby, break area, and adjacent outside areas by keeping them clean and organized
  • Maintain office supplies, break area supplies, cleaning supplies, etc.
  • Run errands including but not limited to picking up office supplies, bank deposits, and other errands as needed.
  • Other Duties as assigned by the Club Owner/Sales Manager

WORK SCHEDULE:  30 hours a week

  • In-Season 4 days per week including every other weekend.  
  • In-Season Holidays and holiday weekends (Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day).  
  • Off-Season 3 to 4 days per week including alternating weekends.

Education, Training and Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing environment preferred
  • Previous bookkeeping experience is preferred and QuickBooks experience is a plus.
